Seeking Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner desiring Integrative, Primary Care Approach to Behavioral Medicine.

Opportunities available in Southborough, MA (30 minutes from Boston, MA) :


Reliant Medical Group is seeking a MA licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Clinical Nurse Specialist who functions as a clinician and consultant in the field of behavioral health. You will be working with primary care and specialty providers  in a fast paced, collaborative team practice that recognizes the patient as the central focus, in order to ensure the best quality of care in the treatment of behavioral health disorders. We have a state-of-the-art Medical Record system (EPIC) that allows continuity of care and leads to safer treatment plans when caring for our patients.


Our Behavioral Medicine care approach is setting the stage for innovative healthcare treatment for the future.  Our integration with Primary Care helps to reach people who can benefit greatly from our services, but would typically not receive these services in a different environment. 


Postion responsibilities include:

  • Conduct clinical evaluations
  • Develop and implement care plans, which include prescribing medication and regularly evaluating and modifying as appropriate
  • Provide consultation to Primary Care and other medical staff regarding behavioral health issues
  • Triage patients to the appropriate level of care

Position qualifications include:

  • Graduate of a State-approved masters level school of nursing with specialty focus in psychiatric nursing
  • Current or eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts license and Board Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with approved prescriptive practice for psychotropic medications, ability to perform comprehensive behavioral health assessments and treatment plans
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of postgraduate experience as a psychiatric nurse clinician, with one year of experience in an outpatient mental health setting preferred
  • Expertise in treatment of substance addiction and co-occurring disorders is a plus
  • Active Federal DEA and Massachusetts MCSR Certificate required or in process
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success interacting sensitively with patients
  • Established written and oral communication skills; and demonstrated effectiveness in working collaboratively with health care providers
